Brief Description

Register at Hogi Yogi from noon till 7PM today or tomorrow at Kiwanis Park from 5:30 AM till 6:15 AM Run for America! And for your own personal achievement! Start your Fourth of July, Independence Day celebration with a 10K, 5K or the Mayor's one-mile fun run. The annual run has become an integral part of America’s Freedom Festival as thousands of runners begin the day with a 10K, 5K or one-mile run. Participants at all levels and abilities are encouraged to join this invigorating event.

10K

The 10K starts and ends at Kiwanis park.

5K

The 5K starts about a half a mile from Kiwanis park on 800 North near the 580 E. intersection. Please allow time to get from registration to the 5K start line on race morning. Alternatively, pick up your race bib and shirt early and go directly to the 5K start area in race morning.

1 Mile

The 1 mile run/walk stays within Kiwanis park. The route is on grass 95% of the time. It crosses a curb and gutter toward the end to get onto the road and head for the finish line.

Parking

Parking is always a challenge on race day. There is parking near Kiwanis Park at the LDS churches on the south and on the east sides of the park. The best parking is west of Kiwanis park at BYU, which is just a .3 mile walk from registration.

Shirts

We have really enjoyed the nice shirts of past years. Nonetheless, it is difficult to get the right number of shirts in the right sizes. We plan or ordering 3500 microfiber shirts. Once they are gone, we will be giving out cotton tee shirts. Thus, those who register for the 5K and 10K in the last few days may not get microfiber shirts. We will keep the website posted as to the quantity remaining.

Additional Information

This year 5K and 10K races will receive a beautiful micro-fiber short sleeve race shirt. 1M racers will receive a cotton t-shirt.

The Freedom Run is chaired by experienced runners and race managers. We strive to be the premier running event in Utah County. Also notice, all the races start at 7:00. Celebrate Independence Day with us!
