The Course
New Course for 2009! To avoid railroad crossings, the course begins at the Leach Amphitheatre and turns south on Main St, goes thru South Park, continues on Knapp and Sawyer Streets, goes over the WI Ave Bridge and thru UW, past Oshkosh Public Museum, thru the Wiowash river-front Trail to the WI Ave Bridge, thru downtown Oshkosh, onto the trail behind the Convention Center and finishing inside the Leach Amphitheatre. Course maps will be posted at midwestsportsevents.com.
Awards
Midwest Sports Events prides themselves with unique awards! Overall awards to the top female and male in each distance and age group winners in the following 5 year age categories: 9 & under to 80 plus and Athena & Clydesdale.
Midwest Sports Events Ammenities
All participants receive a moisture wicking shirt, goody bag, chip timing and plenty of entertainment! Themed water stations and energizing bands along the entire course and at the finish line. Post event buffet complete with healthy foods to refuel. Music to massage the mind and massage therapists for the body.
Health Expo, Registration & Packet Pick-Up
Friday, April 17 from noon - 8 p.m. and day of event from 6-7:50 a.m. at the Oshkosh Convention Center in downtown Oshkosh. Pick up your race information, register for the event and stay for the interesting and informative clinic and course talks held throughout the day. A complete clinic & course talk schedule will be posted on midwestsportsevents.com three weeks prior to the event.
3 Person Half Marathon Relay
New for 2009 will be a 3 person Team relay division. There will be 2 transition sites, but you may switch runners any where along the course. For more information, visit our website www.midwestsportsevents.com
Lionhearted Kids' Run
Registration is on Friday April 17th from Noon to 5:45 p.m. The Lionhearted Kids' Run will start and finish at the Leach Amphitheater. Event starts Friday night at 6:00 p.m. The Lionhearted Run teaches kids to be strong and kind.
Age groups and distances:
9 - 10 years old run 1 mile; 7 - 8 years old run 1/2 mile; 5 - 6 years old run 500 feet and 3 - 4 years old run 200 feet

Lionhearted Kids' Run Ammenities
All kids receive a t-shirt, goody bag, finishers' medal, food and fun after their event! Awards to the top 3 male and female winners in each age group.
Pasta Dinner
The Arc Winnebago County Disability Association will be hosting Carb ‘n’ Run.
The all-you-can-eat dinner will take place on April 17, 2008, from 4:30-8 p.m at the First Congregational Church (137 Algoma Blvd). Pasta, fresh fruits, vegetables, an assortment of breads, beverages, AND a very
special guest speaker.
$8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. All proceeds from the ticket sales will directly benefit Arc-Winnebago County Disability Association.
