Brief Description

The 2009 Amica Ironman 70.3 Rhode Island is scheduled for July 12, 2009 and will utilize a variety of Rhode Island's scenic areas including Narragansett, the picturesque communities along State Road 102 and downtown Providence. Amica Ironman 70.3 Rhode Island will serve as one of the worldwide qualifying events for the 2009 Foster Grant Ironman World Championship 70.3. in Clearwater, FL.

$230.00 USD (1/1/09 - 5/31/09)
$250.00 USD (6/1/09 - 7/11/09)

 

Age Requirement

Entrants must be 18 years of age on race day.

 

Refund/Withdrawal Policy

Withdrawal requests must be received in writing via E-mail to Rhodeisland@ironman.com. Without exception, all requests must be received on or before May 30, 2009 to be eligible for a partial refund of $75.00 (USD). Transfers or deferrals are NOT permitted. *Refund policy also applies to the Ironman Community Foundation Slots*

 

USA Triathlon

USA Triathlon will sanction Amica Ironman 70.3 Rhode Island. To complete the registration process, athletes will need photo identification and must show proof of current USAT membership or purchase a one-day license ($10.00 USD) during online registration. Please visit www.usatriathlon.org for a complete set of the competitive rules.

 

Ironman Community Foundation Slots

Slots will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis and will each cost $500.00 USD, which includes athlete registration and a $250.00 tax-deductible donation to The Ironman Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit organization. One hundred percent of all donations made to The Ironman Foundation, Inc. will be distributed to various local organizations and charities based in the Rhode Island area.

   
 

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required. USA Triathlon provides rules, guidance and governance to set the standard for safe and fair multi-sport races.
