Brief Description

The 2009 Ironman 70.3 Boise is scheduled for June 13, 2009 and will utilize a variety of Boise’s scenic areas, including Lucky Peak Reservoir, Sandy Point Beach, the tree-lined Boise Greenbelt and downtown. Ironman 70.3 Boise will serve as one of the worldwide qualifying events for the 2009 Foster Grant Ironman World Championship 70.3. in Clearwater, FL

$230.00 USD (1/1/09 - 4/30/09)
$250.00 USD (5/1/09 - 6/12/09)

 

Age Requirement

Entrants must be 18 years of age on race day.

 

Age Up Rule

Starting in 2009, the Ford Ironman World Championship and all qualifying events will implement both the International Triathlon Federation and USA Triathlon’s Age Group Competition rule: All age group athletes must compete in the age group division corresponding to the athlete’s age on December 31 of the year of the event.

 

Refund/Withdrawal Policy

Withdrawal requests must be received in writing via E-mail to Boise@ironman.com. Without exception, all requests must be received on or before April 30, 2009 to be eligible for a partial refund of $75.00 (USD). Transfers or deferrals are NOT permitted. *Refund policy also applies to the Ironman Community Foundation Slots*

 

USA Triathlon

USA Triathlon will sanction Ironman 70.3 Boise. To complete the registration process, athletes will need photo identification and must show proof of current USAT membership or purchase a one-day license ($10.00 USD) during online registration. Please visit www.usatriathlon.org for a complete set of the competitive rules.

 

Ironman Community Foundation Slots

Slots will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis and will each cost $500.00 USD, which includes athlete registration and a $250.00 tax-deductible donation to The Ironman Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit organization. One hundred percent of all donations made to The Ironman Foundation, Inc. will be distributed to various local organizations and charities based in the Boise area.

   
 

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required. USA Triathlon provides rules, guidance and governance to set the standard for safe and fair multi-sport races.
