Brief Description

Ben Franklin PTA is excited to announce our third annual Franklin Family Fun Run and Walk. All proceeds from this event benefit Franklin students and the arts. Runners, walkers and students will be racing, running and walking around our school's neighborhood. Join this fun, family-friendly event.

7:30am

Registration, packet pick up and free gear check opens

8:15am

Kids' 1 mile Fun Run begins (ages 12 and under only)

9:00am

5K Run and Walk

10:15am

Awards presented to top finishers and a raffle for all particpants. *Must be present in order to receive a prize.

t-shirts

Everyone who registers by Saturday, March 8th 2008 will be guaranteed a race t-shirt. T-shirt designed by Franklin student.

Additional Information

Ben Franklin is a small elementary school in the Vancouver School District with approximately 240 students. Over 30% of our students receive free or reduced lunches. In 2006, over 120 runners competed, and we raised over $2400 for extracurricular activities in the arts. In 2007, approximately 180 raced, and we raised over $3000 for our students. In December, the ENTIRE school attended an incredible DO JUMP! production at the Newmark Theater thanks to Fun Run money. With your participation, we can make this our best year ever. Thank you very much for supporting our school and its great students.
