Great New Location - Similar Course
We are excited to host the 2nd annual Iron Girl event on the Del Mar Fairgrounds. The race will start and finish on the fairgrounds, lots of parking and many fun surprises await you. Also the courses will move out of the fairgrounds and use the Pacific Coast Highway for a out and back course.
Registration & Expo
Pre Register and packet pick-up available at the Del Mar Fairground on Saturday from Noon to 3:00 p.m. Use the main Durante Gate to enter the expo.
Registration is available on race morning along with packet pick-up at the race site. You will come to the main gates. Please note that race registration goes up $10.00 after June 19.
Packet Pick-up Procedure Saturday
Participants will pay to park or park at horsepark (1 mile east of the fairgrounds) for free and ride the shuttle over. Shuttle service drops you off at the main gate just a short walk from Durante Gate.
Check in will be at a special will call set up at Durante Gate. At this check in, you will receive 2 tickets to the Fair - one to use to get yourself into the fair and expo that day and 1 ticket you can give to a companion to use that day or save for a future date or on race morning.
Packet Pick-up Procedure Sunday
There will again be a check in area set up at Durante Gate for people who did not pick-up their packet or registration on Saturday.
At this check in, you will receive 2 tickets to the Fair - one to use to get yourself into the fair and expo that day and 1 ticket you can give to a companion to use that day or save for a future date.
There will also be a ticket seller starting at 6:00 a.m. for any companions/spectators to purchase a ticket for admission.
Race Schedule
Both Races Start at 7:30 a.m.
FREE PARKING on race morning.
Remember the San Diego County Fair doesn't open until 10:00 a.m. on Sunday morning so no traffic as we start the race at 7:30 a.m.
Location: Del Mar Fairgrounds will host the start and finish of the event. The course will move out of the fairgrounds onto the Pacific Coast Highway to Solana Beach and back.

Your strength and courage in your battle with cancer has inspired us. Aflac is proud to be your biggest fan on race day! Please allow us to honor you by paying your entry fee.
Before you register send an Email to info@irongirl.com your name, contact information, a brief bio on your story with cancer and request your unique registration code. Before the race, stop by the Registration booth to receive a special Aflac gift and your blue Aflac race bib.
Course Cut-off Time
You will have 90 minutes to complete the event.
Late Registration
Late Registration is available on race morning along with packet pick-up at the race site. Please note that race registration fee goes up $10.00 after June 19. Only accept cash for late registration on event weekend.
Course
The 10K and 5K courses will feature a beautiful and scenic course along the Pacific Coast Highway. Course map will be available soon on IronGirl.com
Amenities
The Aflac Iron Girl event will feature a post-race catered Breakfast Café, new Iron Girl performance technical shirts, personalized race bibs featuring each participant’s first name, IPICO timing, many exciting post-race giveaways, custom Iron Girl earrings to age group awards for the top three finishers in each category, custom finishers medals to all finishers, music and much more.
USAT Certified Courses
The event will offer a 10 & 5K certified course.
Bib Info
Race bibs will feature your first name so everyone can cheer you on! You must be registered by June 14 in order to have your name printed on the bib
Safety - No Strollers, Dogs or Inline Skates
For the safety of all the participants, inline skates, pets and baby strollers and joggers are not allowed to participate in this event. Thanks for your cooperation.
Mother/Daughter Teams
Mother/Daughter teams will be scored with a combined times. You will each have a timing chip. You both race the distance, this is not a relay. Teams are only for 2-people. Mother/Daughter team members are not eligible for age group awards and will be scored only in the team category for awards. You will NOT be scored or placed in the overall individual finishing results. You will only be listed in the overall finishing results for the team category. You don't have to finish together.
Timing Amenities
We have exciting timing amenities such as a commemorative timing tag that you keep.
We are offering a personalized results station. After you finish the race stop by the Iron Girl results tent to print out your individual results on the spot.
Results will be posted on the event site race day.
Individual results will be Emailed to you after the race.
To frame your finish, we are offering a personalized finishers certificate that will be available with your online results.

We will have 16 age groups: 9 and under; 10 - 14; 15 - 19; 20 - 24; 25 - 29; 30 - 34; 35 - 39; 40 -44; 45 - 49; 50 - 54; 55 - 59; 60 - 64; 65 - 69; 70 - 74; 75- 79; 80+
