Brief Description

Over the Edge is a unique fundraising event -- and the first of its kind in the Silicon Valley -- allowing colleagues or friends the opportunity to raise money and and "send" yourself or a friend, or a boss or colleague, rappelling "Over the Edge" of the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara to raise money and awareness for lung disease programs.

Safety

Every Over the Edge event is set up as an industrial worksite and is compliant with all federal and state OSHA Fall Protection Standards and OSHA Federal and State Laws. Additionally, policies and procedures adhere to the best practices identified by IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) counsel. This counsel is a strict regulatory body that has regimented guidelines and safety protocols that far exceed the OSHA, Workers Compensation and state labor codes.

Additional Information

You have an opportunity to participate in this most unique fundraising event. The first 90 registered participants who raise $1,000 or more, either as a single contribution or in total pledges collected, are assured of a slot to rappel down the front side of the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Santa Clara. Registration is $50, but it counts toward your minimum. Our top rappellers will win prizes, and all registrants will be entered into a drawing for other top prizes. Registrants who don't reach the $1,000 minimum will also be entered into a drawing for a rappel slot. You don't need any special training. Experts in this type of rappelling will conduct the event under very strict safety regulations. Click on the donation page link below for more information.
