Camping with the little ones is much different than a trip with your friends.
If you're trudging the troops to a campsite for your next trip, campground games are a great way to keep children entertained while staying active as a whole family. You can make up your own, or get started with some of these suggestions.
Make a hike more exciting with identification games. Instead of strolling idly through the trails, identify tall oaks, singing birds and wildflowers to truly enjoy it all. Not only does this make a long hike more exciting for kids, but can be a learning opportunity as well.
Play: If you aren't yet familiar with tree, plant or bird identification, be sure to bring the right materials, or do your reading beforehand. You can bring books, and allow your children to take the lead; they'll enjoy it the more involved they are.
Campsite Scavenger Hunt
If you're looking for a way to stay busy all afternoon, scavenger hunts make for great campground games. Being in the outdoors means you're surrounded by a variety of plants and animals that can be scouted out.
