Identification Games

Make a hike more exciting with identification games. Instead of strolling idly through the trails, identify tall oaks, singing birds and wildflowers to truly enjoy it all. Not only does this make a long hike more exciting for kids, but can be a learning opportunity as well.

Play: If you aren't yet familiar with tree, plant or bird identification, be sure to bring the right materials, or do your reading beforehand. You can bring books, and allow your children to take the lead; they'll enjoy it the more involved they are.
