Though my kids could live on a S'more diet, the adults in our camping group were getting a little tired of this age-old desert. We adapted a
sweet cake recipe to campfire cooking and came up with a decadent treat that's great for grownups and kids too.

Servings: 6 to 8
Prep Time: 25 minutes
Ingredients:
- Pound cake
- Sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter (optional)
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
Directions:
- Pour the milk into a shallow bowl
- Mix the coconut and chocolate chips in a second bowl
- Thoroughly mix two heaping teaspoons of peanut butter into the milk (optional)
- Cut the pound cake into 1-inch cubes, and insert a cake cube on a roasting stick
- Roll the cake cube in the condensed milk, covering it completely
- Next roll the cake in the coconut/chocolate chip mixture, pressing the coconut into the cake if necessary to get it to stick
- Roast the cake cube, as you would a marshmallow
- The heat will caramelize the condensed milk, roast the coconut and melt the chocolate chips all at the same time
