Kids will be introduced to the world of paddling on a "sit-on-top" kayak. Training will begin in a controlled environment, and eventually we will transport participants to Mittry Lake, for a real kayaking experience on open water. The fundamentals of safe river paddling, and why it is important to conserve the environment will be taught. Participants must be able to swim 25 yards, should wear appropriate clothing; bring sun protection, insect repellant, and drinking water.
