The Sixth Annual Summer Theatre Intensive is reaching new heights in the Summer of 2013. Students will spend the first three weeks in intense preparation for their roles in this summer’s production of the hit musical RENT. During daily rehearsals with our talented production staff, students will work in an environment that is comparable to the professional theatre. This is not theatre for the faint of heart. Students will spend their days dancing, singing, acting, and most commonly, laughing! While we have a strict jam-packed schedule, our staff loves their work and their enthusiasm for doing quality theatre is infectious. Our out-of-town campers will enjoy night time activities with resident assistants and staff (open to locals as well) and weekend day trips to experience the beautiful city which we call our summer home. This year we are excited to bring back the popular “Fourth Week” program during the final week of camp. This additional week is filled with guest artist workshops introducing students to a variety of theatrical techniques not covered during the first three weeks of rehearsal. Last year's workshops included focuses on Avenue Q puppetry, Advanced Improv study, a Fosse master class, and a workshop with Tony Award winner, Roger Bart.
