It's been 16 years since Jun Gao (along with teammate Zihe Chen) won the silver medal in women's doubles table tennis for China in the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics.

Gao has since become a U.S. citizen and member of the U.S. Table Tennis Team. She represented Team USA in the 2000 Sydney Games and was the first American to make it past the first round in table tennis, but was unable to capture a medal.

She heads back to her native country as an American hoping to capture gold for Team USA. Before the Games, she took time out with Active.com to share life as an Olympian.
