The is 11-week training plan designed to train cyclists for a one week bike trip at elevation and with several days of climbing. It can also be used for anyone wanting to train for a multi-day ride. The plan is designed by Go Get it Gal Founder, Taryn Kama and the workouts are created by Diana Roberts (physical therapist, athletic trainer and USAT Triathlon coach).1st Teleseminar (15 minutes) Introduction and climbing drill2nd Teleseminar (22 minutes) The Art of Descending
The workouts can be customized for your geography and training needs. Besides the workout, each week will focus one aspect of training including: mental preparation; nutrition planning during the rides; hydration, including use of electrolytes, salt; bike fit: saddle comfort (too high, too low, just right); pedal stroke, cadence, gearing; patience is a virtue, with long climbs; mantras; standing technique and gearing when climbing; stretching, for the cyclist; core strength; heart rate vs. perceived exertion; solutions to specific aches from caused by cycling. Additionally, the plan has a several 5-minute bonus videos on other topics including: packing your bike, taking care of your back, and bike fit.
