Warmup to the ORAMM or just come out and ride a 30 mile course that doesn't have you riding in circles! This race will run the same course as the ever popular Off Road Assault on Mt Mitchell but head down Curtis Creek Road instead of climbing up it. You'll tackle 4,000' of climbing as you hit some of the ORAMM highlights like Old Highway 70, Kitsuma, Star Gap and Jarrett Creek. Celebrate with a huge after party with pasta/salad feast and beer/wine.
Early Packet Pickup Friday 4-8pm. Race day packet pickup begins at 6am.

There are 3 rest stops approximately every 8 miles on the course. You may shuttle anything you want to any of the 3 rest stops on the course. Have your personal items labeled and bagged up to drop on the rest stop tarps at Start by 7:30 am. Rest stops are stocked with H20, Heed Energy Drink, granola bars, oranges, bananas, PB&J sandwiches, assorted snacks and lots of encouragement from our rest stop personnel!
Weather late July in the forest is generally 80-90 degrees around race time and can either warm up to the 100’s or drop in the low 60’s. Be prepared for all conditions - a cooling summer shower or blistering hot heat!
Each rider will receive tickets for Pasta/Salad and beer/wine. Additional tickets will be available for purchase.
100% cotton pre-shrunk Tshirts will be guaranteed to all preregistered participants. Sure to be the envy of all your friends.
From Asheville take I-40 to Old Fort Exit #73. Go towards Old Fort. The start/finish will be at the Gateway Museum. The museum is on the right.
Have no illusions you can escape some type of injury on 30 miles of rough terrain. Whether in be an abrasion or a mental breakdown, everyone suffers in one way or another! First Aid will be available at all Rest Stops. The Finish will have McDowell County EMS on standby.
Food, beer and wine will be available for spectators to purchase
