A biathlon is defined as "any sporting event made up of two disciplines". Running and eating Mexican food are two disciplines so why not combine them? And that was the start of the Fiesta Cancun Burrito Biathlon.

Post Race Fun
Why run if you can't enjoy the fruits of your labor? Running is hard and everyone deserves a party at the end. At Silver Circle Sports Events we do it a little different. Our post race party starts when we open the gates and stops when we turn off the lights. There will be music/bands, food and beverages. Come for the race and stay for Oconomowoc's Fall Festival.
Everyone likes to wear a costume. Whether your run in your favorite super hero costume, your best burrito outfit or impersonate your favorite local politician, dress to impress! Costumes are not required but there will be an award for best costume and besides when your girlfriend beats your time, you can blame it on the costume.
Runners will be assigned to waves based on registration date. Waves will be between 100 & 200 people and will leave every 5-10 minutes based on course conditions. We are having runners leave in waves to keep the burrito station clear for runners.

Well you should. Training is hard, time consuming and lasts way to long. Racing should be fun and as such we don't take ourselves too serious. Our events are based on runners having fun on the course and after the run. We design events that we want to do because like you we are runners. All of our events are focused on the safety of the athlete and ensuring our guest has an enjoyable event.
The Fiesta Cancun Burrito Biathlon is a 5K run comprised of two events. Runners must first run 2 miles before stopping at the Fiesta Cancun Queso Corner where they will have to down a tasty Fiesta Cancun burrito. Participants must finish a burrito before heading back to the course for a 1 mile dash to the finish line.
