Description

This activity is closed to further registration.

This class is an introduction to basic ceramics; we will be working with
low fire earthenware clay, glazing with low fire glazes. You will learn
to make various projects using pinch pot, coil, and slab techniques
including several glazing techniques. This class is welcome to ages 16
and up, all skill levels are also welcome. A ceramics lab is available to
enrolled students every Friday 9:30 am to 12:30 pm for a drop in fee of
$10 per class due to instructor. Open Lab Session is to allow enrolledstudents additional time to complete projects. There is a $100 material fee due to the instructor upon the first class; any questions call Maria Counts (760) 421-8881. This will cover cost of all tools, glazes, firings and instructor's time. A 25 lb. bag of clay is available from instructor for $15. All classes need a minimum of 5 students to continue.
