Worried about that oral report or classroom presentation? Being asked to speak on the job and not sure where to begin? Writing the wedding toast? In this interactive and supportive class, you will learn how to handle your nerves, organize your speech and to share in a way that helps others learn and laugh along with you! This class is designed for beginning speakers but will also be a great opportunity for experienced speakers to tune up and try on some new skills. Topics include handling anxiety and conquering fear, how to present yourself in a relaxed and natural way, storytelling to interest your audience, secrets of great public speaking and 'no-nos' of power point. Instructor Annan Paterson will use a variety of fun and helpful activities such as improvisational acting for creativity, vocal and speech warm-ups to get your speaking up to speed and role plays that help you get ready for the real thing.
