Description
USA Triathlon Race Director Certification is a 16-hour education course that generally takes place over two days. The culmination is the awarding of certificates to race directors who successfully complete the course requirements. This course will address the latest in race directing methods, insurance/risk management trends, and USAT sanctioning compliance. While the certification course is not mandatory for race directors who sanction their events with USA Triathlon, the program is extremely valuable to both new and seasoned event directors.
USA Triathlons Race Director Symposium is a great opportunity for race directors to meet and network with peers across the country, engage with the USA Triathlon staff, speak one-on-one with the risk management team from ESIX, and become informed on various issues and trends facing the multisport industry. Registration includes breakfast and lunch on both days, the Friday Night Active Reception, and 5k the Fun Run/Walk. Additional tickets to the Reception can be purchased during the registration process.

$150 refund if requested by Dec. 14th
$100 refund if requested between Dec. 15th - Jan. 4th
$0 refund after Jan. 4th
No transfers or refunds because of weather.
Registration fees are non-refundable.
Event schedule and times
Race Director Certification:
This class will begin at 9am and end at 5pm on both days. Please make travel arrangements accordingly.
Race Director Symposium:
A detailed schedule is avialable on the USA Triathlon website. Packet pickup will be Thursday afternoon Jan. 17th. Presentations will be all day Friday and Saturday Jan. 18th and 19th.
