Description
We at the Littlest Tumor Foundation have three main goals: raise awareness, raise funds for research, and promote wellness within the NF community. Simply put, NF (Neurofibromatosis) is a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow sporadically throughout a person's body. Many Families travel to the Madison and Milwaukee areas weekly for MRIs, appointments, and chemtherapy- often for years at a time. During these times of travel, families often feel isolated while they visit multiple doctors' offices and painstakingly wait for test results. LTF aims to hinder these isolating feelings by conneting and educating families with NF. One major way we form these connections is through our annual Family Wellness Retreat. The retreat is offered at no cost to NF families as we facilitate wellness, provide education and forge long-lasting friendships.
For those interested in helping with our cause, the Littlest Tumor Foundation will be holding their 4th annual Kids-on-Chemo drive on April 26th from 7:00-9:30pm at the Copper Rock Coffee Company in downtown Appleton.. 100% of the money raised at this year's Kids-on-Chemo drive will go to the Littlest Tumor Foundation's annual Family Wellness Retreat for kids affected with pediatric tumors.
