Training Course:
Saturday, December 22nd: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (Pre-Swim: 8:00 am - 10:00 am)
Age 15 and over. This class provides skills and knowledge needed to become well trained effective lifeguards for pools and no surf beaches. All swimming and classroom instruction at the Valley Aquatic Center.
Prerequisites:
1. Swim 500 yards continuously using these strokes in the following order:
a. 200 yards Front Crawl
b. 100 yards Breaststroke
c. 200 yards of either the front crawl using rhythmic breathing or breaststroke
2. Submerge to a minimum depth of 7 to 10 feet, retrieve a 10 lb. object, and return with it to the surface, tread water for 2 minutes using only legs with a 10 lb. object in hands and keeping face above the water.

* Non-residents paying the incorrect fee will be immediately notified. Failure to pay non-resident fees when applicable may result in removal from program.
