About This Activity

Brothers, Sisters and All Interested Parties,The IAFF Charitable Foundation and IAFF Local 1664 are pleased to present a High Rise Fire Fighter Stair Climb to honor the memory of our 343 brothers who perished at the 110 story World Trade Center on 9/11. Fire fighters, police officers, EMS personnel, and civilians from the D.C. Metro region are invited to challenge themselves by climbing 110 stories (optional full PPE with SCBA (not breathing air)).

Participants should plan to bring their own gear and SCBA. If desired, the climb may also be done wearing standard clothing attire (P.T. gear).

The venue for this climb is the newly constructed North Bethesda Market Tower, located near White Flint Mall, which is now the tallest building in Montgomery County.

The event will be held on Saturday, October 12th, 2013. There will be no on-site registration. This event will give you the opportunity to realistically gauge your personal performance expectations during an actual high rise incident - without the benefit of elevators. You have 3 months to schedule, train and prepare, so mark your calendars and stay tuned for more informationas we finalize details.
