Meisner Technique with Kato Buss for 8 Weeks - The heart of Meisner's approach is "living truthfully within imaginary circumstances," which invites actors to stop acting and react instinctually, while connecting with their material from moment-to-moment. The Meisner Technique can be applied in all acting mediums, most notably film and television. At The Actor Factory, beginning to advanced acting students will be introduced to the Meisner Technique through a sequence of exercises, activities, and performance pieces. Kato Buss is an Assistant Professor of Theatre Arts and Head of the BFA Performance Program at the University of Central Oklahoma. He has over twenty years experience as an actor, director, playwright, and teacher. He encourages a student-centered approach to actor training, which enables acting students to push their own boundaries in a safe and supportive environment.
