Recreation and Wellness' Youth Swimming Program follows the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim curriculum for children ages 6 months and up. Classes are designed to create a positive learning experience and develop lifelong swimming skills for each participant. Certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors participate in trainings and shadow teaching sessions before administering a class of their own. Lessons are designed to run in sessions consisting of 30 minute lessons with five minutes of wrap-up and parent discussion. The ratio of students to teachers is kept well below the American Red Cross recommendation of 1:10, preferably kept at 1:4-6. Our refund policy is: full refunds given until the registration deadline. Sorry, no refunds given once class begins.
