The start is in Rancho Sierra Vista/Satwiwa National Park in Newbury Park (just west of Thousand Oaks). This event is the Grand Daddy of the series, not for the faint of heart, but if you dare to enter you'll experience some of the most scenic back country in the Santa Monica Mountains. The 6k is a great intro event with paved roads and singletrack along Upper Sycamore Canyon.
All participants get a gender-specific, Greenlayer technical XTERRA Boney Mountain shirt, cool finisher medal, entry into the raffle of sponsor swag, and the satisfaction of completing one of the best races around! Don't forget your well-deserved hot egg breakfast and coffee with all the fixin's.
