Immerse yourself in the culinary arts this summer with our month-long cooking intensive. More extensive than our popular Culinary Bootcamp series, but not as long of a commitment as our Career Training Program in Culinary Arts, the Summer Cooking Intensive is perfect for the passionate home cook or serious kitchen enthusiast. Over 16, four-hour sessions, you will learn all of the following and more: How to hold, handle, sharpen, and wield a chef’s knife Proper terminology and use for a wide array of kitchen tools and equipment Breakdown a whole chicken with a butcher’s precision The best cooking application for different cuts of of meat and how to cook each to the perfect degree of doneness Make rich, flavorful sauces from scratch How to plate and present dishes with a chef’s eye and an artist’s touch Identify herbs and spices and how to use them to enhance the flavor of your food Overcome your fish phobia – learn how to purchase, filet, and cook fish Make pasta and pasta sauces from scratch Master egg cookery Explore cuisines from around the world How to cook like a chef: quick, clean, and efficient! Daytime schedule perfect for those on break from school or work! Part-time evening schedule perfect for those who work! Open to men & women, ages 17 and up. Welcome to CKCA

The Center for Kosher Culinary Arts (CKCA) is the worldwide destination for those seeking culinary education in an uncompromised kosher environment. Students have traveled to study at CKCA from all across the US and from countries as far away as Australia, Panama, Mexico, the UK, Italy, and Canada.

 

We are the only kosher cooking school outside of Israel to offer career training in culinary and pastry arts. These intensive courses are taught by highly experienced professionals who have been working in the culinary field and teaching others how to work in the culinary field for many years.

 

CKCA also offers fun, recreational hands-on cooking, baking, and cake decorating classes for men, women, children & teens of all ages and experience levels. Classes are taught by experienced chef instructors and offered during the day, in the evenings, motzei Shabbos and on Sundays.

 

CKCA chefs are available for on-site demonstrations, private cooking classes, small catered affairs, and personal chef work!! Bring the expertise of a trained kosher chef in to your home or synagogue and impress your friends and neighbors!
