The essence of printmaking is the difference between a plate and a print. Students will learn techniques of printmaking, starting with monotypes and dry-point and moving to more complicated techniques of etching, aquatint and color viscosity roller techniques. This course is designed for the beginner who wants to understand the process of making a print, and also for the student who wants to improve their technique. As always, the goal of the class is to learn to combine technical skill and expression, thus creating a work of art.
