What's Included

Catapult and Trebuchet Science What kid doesn't want to launch objects across the room? Kids build a catapult to develop this love even more. They'll design catapults of all sizes and learn how far the object travels and its vertical speed and horizontal speed. Kids will also construct a trebuchet, a gravity powered energy machine, to throw tennis up in the air. What better way to spark an interest in real-world science and engineering. They'll test their machine's strength and efficiency in Central Park.

About This Organizer

SciTech Kids nurtures children's sense of wonder and excitement about science, technology, engineering and math--STEM--through hands-on activities which unlock their imagination. We spark children's innate curiosity and creativity through experimentation and fun, meaningful experiences. Working alongside real scientists, our kids, ages 3 to 15, are involved in authentic scientific inquiry that changes both the way they see themselves and the world.
