What Is Deep Water Running? Deep Water Running is a the best cross training venue for runners. It allows you to train while injured and speed up the recovery process. DWR will enhance your speed and provide a whole body workout which will increase your joint range of motion and strengthen postural muscles. And you don't have to know how to swim to do it! Elite athletes from a variety of sports as well as the average runner can use DWR to optimize their performance.

* Enter on 50th Street on the side of the church, accross from the Waldorf Astoria. This workout can accomodate the beginner to elite level runner or anyone who cannot take part in weight bearing exercise! This unique deep water running method allows for maintenance of fitness and increases training volume and intensity—without the detrimental effects of increased weight bearing exercises. The Doug Stern method has been endorsed and offered by the New York Road Runners for over 25 years! Now exclusively coached by the only expert on Deep Water Running in New York City, Robert J. Valentin.
