Literature and the Law is a conference series inspired by Judge Gordon Low of the First District Court in Cache Valley, Utah. Judge Low spoke of lawyers as wordsmiths with an obligation to read and study great literature for the purpose of improving the application and quality of law. Travis Marker heard this presentation five years before he organized the first Literature and the Law conference. Attorneys commented that it was the best CLE they had ever attended. With this encouragement, Travis Marker has organized many events across the nation with continued success.
