About the Conference

Mark your calendars and make plans now to join physician assistants from across the country for one of the best continuing medical education programs offered anywhere! The Association of Family Practice Physician Assistants will present the 15th Annual Fall CME Conference & Exhibition at the Astor Crowne Plaza in New Orleans.

AFPPA hosts the largest PA specialty practice (primary care) CME conferences in the country, setting the standard with a "for PAs, by PAs" focus. Our speakers are recognized experts in their areas of practice, with knowledge of topics that are essential to effective primary care practice.

The conference will begin September 16 and run through September 20, 2013, but consider staying a few extra days to enjoy the amazing food, music, and history that New Orleans has to offer. Take in the sights of the vibrant architecture of the French Quarter, stop by the Cafe du Monde for one (or five) of their world-famous beignets, and when nighttime rolls around head to a jazz club to listen to the music that was born in New Orleans.

Not only is the conference being held in a fabulous location, but, as always, we will be offering over 24 educational sessions and 8 workshops to help our PA and NP attendees hone their knowledge and skills, as well as prepare for recertification exams. We are proud to be able to provide information on diverse topics presented by leading PA and NP speakers and educators.

We're also pleased to have partnered with the Astor Crowne Plaza to provide you with incredible lodging at affordable rates that is located in the very heart of New Orleans. Whether you are on the prowl for world-renowned dining or the iconic sounds of New Orleans jazz, the Astor Crowne plaza places you within easy access of it all. Few New Orleans hotels provide such a perfect balance of southern hospitality and sophistication or relaxation in as lively a setting as the French Quarter. Make your reservations soon, because rooms are sure to go fast!
