Learn basic metalsmithing to develop new skills or strengthen existing ones. Weekly demonstrations introduce participants to the tools and techniques required for metal working in non-ferrous sheet metal and wire. Demonstrations may include sawing, filing, cold-connecting, soldering, surface embellishment, forging, shaping, fold-forming, finishing and patina coloring.

Notes: New students required to attend the first class. This course is designed for all levels and includes lots of time for one-on-one instruction. Beginners will build skills by working on an assigned project. Participants with previous experience can work on projects of their choice. Projects are not limited to jewelry.
