One day course: Tuesday, October 25. Aquinas Hall G9 An introduction to the two very different styles of Art Nouveau and Art Deco in both Europe and the United States, with a look at the influences from which they evolved. We will see examples of the finest work in architecture, furniture, graphic arts, and household items such as silver, glassware, ceramics and jewelry.

The Institute for Learning in Retirement Inc. at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Connecticut is a non-profit, community based group of active adults over the age of 55 who share a love of learning. At its heart, ILR is an academic program designed to suit varied interests. We enjoy college-level academic pursuits without concern for credit, grades or prerequisites. This creates unique educational opportunities made possible by members who volunteer their time and by collaborative leadership. All our classes are held during the day at varied locations within the Greater New Haven area.
