Paper Discovery Duathlon

About This Activity

The Paper Discovery Duathlon in its ninth year will again be held at Riverside Park in Neenah, WI. This venue has ample parking and there are no railroad crossings. Family friendly, the event has a panoramic view of the river and features a playground where kids can gather and have a good time.

Distance

2 mile run, 18 mile bike, 2 mile run

Run Course

The run course starts in Riverside Park and goes south out of the park. The run continues on scenic Lakeshore Drive and around Kimberly Point. Runners re-enter Riverside Park to take advantage of the park’s trail system overlooking the water channel and downtown Neenah. This is a double loop course. This is the same course for the second leg of the run.

Bike Course

The bike course starts in Riverside Park. Bikers head south on Park Road. Once out of town, bikers will head west on well-paved, flat and fast country roads of Winnebago County. Bikers will travel the outer boarders of Neenah through quite residential areas and then head back to the park.

4 RELAY DIVISIONS

4 Relay Divisions: Family - Coed - All Female - All Male. Relay Teams can be done with 2 or 3 members. The Paper Discovery Duathlon course is especially designed for parents and children since the two run legs are only 2 miles each.To qualify for the family division at least one member MUST be 16 years of age or younger.

Awards

Awards to the overall female and male winners. Age group awards go to the top three female and male finishers in 5-year increments from 14 and under to 95+. Awards go to top three overall relay teams in four divisions: Family, all female, all male and co-ed. Awards also go to the top three in the Athena and Clydesdale divisions.

Midwest Sports Events Amenities

All participants receive a dri-wick shirt, chip timing and plenty of entertainment. There will be a post-event buffet complete with healthy foods to refuel.

Midwest Sports Events Refund Policy

There will be NO REFUNDS issued for any reason. There are absolutely NO EXCEPTIONS to this policy.

TRANSFER FROM 2013 TO 2014 EVENT: There will be NO TRANSFERS from this year's event to future year events.

RACE FEE TRANSFER: There will be NO TRANSFER OF FEES from one race to another.

TRANSFER TO ANOTHER ATHLETE: Race fee can be transferred to another individual. However, there is a $10 processing fee to complete the transfer.

Individual $45; Relay $30/ea member; Relay (16 &under) $20/ea to 11:59 p.m. May 4, 2013
