Brief Description

The Tour Of Socorro Mountain Bike Omnium consists of two mountain bike races: the South Baldy Hill Climb, and the Cerrillos Del Coyote Cross-Country Race. There are classes for USA Cycling (NORBA) Pro, Cat 1 (Expert), Cat 2 (Sport), Cat 3 (Beginner), and for Singlespeed. Winners will be determined using points earned at each races, plus bonus points for completing both races. A cash and merchandise purse will be distributed for Omnium winners, and medals for individual race winners.

Races

Omnium: South Baldy Hill Climb and Cerrillos del Coyote, combined; Saturday and Sunday. Single/HC: South Baldy Hill Climb; Saturday only. Single/XC: Cerrillos Del Coyote; Sunday only.

NM Off-Road Series

A maximum of 50 points are available toward the New Mexico Off-Road Series (NMORS) championship. See the race website (socorro.com/ssr/tour) or series website (nmors.org) for details.

USAC One-Day Fee

Please note that USAC (NORBA) requires all event participants to be USAC members. If you do not wish to purchase an annual membership (available at usacycling.org, or at the race), you can purchase a one-day USAC membership during registration for $5 per day.
