Description
7th annual 12 hour mountain bike race at Phil's World. This is a grassroots race on a stellar network of singletrack - all in the shadow of Mesa Verde. The race course twists and turns through juniper trees, intermittent technical spots, and fast descents.
100% of race proceeds benefit local non-profits serving the youth in Montezuma County. The primary beneficiaries for 2012 were The Pinon Project, a local, 501(c)3 non-profit, organization mentoring at-risk youth, and Southwest Open School's mountain bike intesive class. 2013 beneficiaries to be determined.
The race organizers volunteer 100% of their time.
