Brief Description

The course starts with a ¾ mile drag race down 426 to South Bethel taking you back to the trailhead where you jump into tight single-rack through the pines/brush of Briar Patch, then onto Couch along the river & through dense old growth. After the “infamous clay climb” the course spits you out onto the fast & sweeping turns of Badlands (fan viewing area). Laps 2 & 3 exclude the 426 drag race.

 

Directions to the Race

From Hwy 49 @ Saucier take NEW Hwy 67 S. to 3rd intersection of old Hwy 67 turn left, go to 4-way stop continue on Bethel Rd. watch for Bike Trail sign & turn right onto dirt road . From I-10 Exit 46 north traveling on Hwy. 15 approx. 10 miles. Look for Bike Trail sign on west/left side of the road. Follow dirt rd # 426 1mi. to Couch Trailhead on the west side of the road.

 

Camping

On Site Camping is permitted. There are no electric connections. On site bathroom available

 

No Alcohol permitted
