Welcome to the 2013 MS 5K & 10K Run and Walk, hosted by the Physical Therapy Student Organization at Central Michigan University! Help us increase awareness about Multiple Sclerosis while promoting the importance of an active lifestyle by racing. Our hope is to raise money to support research towards Multiple Sclerosis and to provide further education for the general population. Thank you for supporting a great cause! The race will be located on CMU's campus. It will start from the Health Professions Building, which is located at the Northwest corner of Preston and East Campus Drive. To get to Mt. Pleasant from 127, take business route 127/Mission St. Take Preston west from Mission St. Then go North on East Campus Drive. The Health Professions Building will be on the left hand side.
The Spaghetti Dinner will be on Friday April 5, 2013 from 4-7pm. It will be held at the Wesley Foundation, located at 1400 South Washington Street. All proceeds will also go to the MS Society-Michigan Chapter. It's a great way to carb-load before the race in the morning! Cost is $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for children (12 and under). All you can eat! Race day packets will be available for pick up at the dinner.
Registration will start at 8:00 am, April 6th. Race day packets will also be available for pick-up at the spaghetti dinner from 4-7pm, April 5th.
This is a great race for those of all ages and abilities. The race course is a relatively flat course, on the paved sidewalks of Central Michigan University's Campus! The 10K course is a double loop course of the 5K route. Aid stations providing water are scattered throughout the course. Following the race, delicious post-race snacks and drinks will be provided. Awards will also be presented.
