About This Activity

Learn the basic skills of ice-skating. The Moorhead Parks and Recreation program is a registered member and teaches the U.S. Figure Skating "Skate with U.S." program. "Skate with U.S." is the Park and Recreation Department's most popular winter program and the basis for the annual event, the Moorhead Ice Show. Classes are held in the Moorhead Sports Center.  NO CLASS ON FEB 9TH, MAKEUP WILL BE FEB 10TH, WITH TIMES TO BE ANNOUNCED.

Tots is for skaters who unable to get across the rink on their own and/or falls often.  Helmets are recommended.  It is advised that skaters are introduced to skating before lessons as lessons are not one-on-one.  Introduction includes getting up from a fall, marching in place, forward skating and beginning stops.  A skater does not need all three badges to move out of Tots.
