Skate Lessons - Basic 1 & 2

About This Activity

Learn the basic skills of ice-skating. The Moorhead Parks and Recreation program is a registered member and teaches the U.S. Figure Skating "Skate with U.S." program. "Skate with U.S." is the Park and Recreation Department's most popular winter program and the basis for the annual event, the Moorhead Ice Show. Classes are held in the Moorhead Sports Center.

Basic 1 & 2 is for skaters who can make it across the rink comfortably buy themselves without falling.  Participants will learn skating and gliding forward, stopping, two-foot hops and bubbles, as well as an introduction to backward skating an gliding.  Helmets are recommended.
