What's Included

Be a REALgirl, Not a MEANgirl. In our dynamic and interactive anti-bullying workshop, participants are: 1) guided to identify the causes of ‘mean girl' behavior, 2) taught to differentiate between behavior that is rude, mean, and bullying, and 3) given tools and action steps to guide them when they encounter bullying, either as the victim or as a bystander. Participants are encouraged to take the ‘Pledge of Sisterhood,' and commit to creating a supportive and empowering environment amongst themselves and their friends. Tuition includes lunch, all art materials and supplies, a REALgirl t-shirt, Be a REALgirl Not a MEANgirl bracelet, as well as a big banner for the school that the girls construct together as part of a sisterhood project.

About This Organizer

REALgirl® is a groundbreaking and transformative program dedicated to inspiring and guiding girls to discover their ‘REAL’ (authentic) selves and develop the skills, knowledge, confidence and courage they need to consistently make informed life-choices from a place of self-knowledge, self-respect and strength. Participants are guided to develop tools they need to successfully navigate issues every girl and woman faces today, including (but not limited to) body image, the influence of the media, formation of healthy relationships, and the ability to be captain of her own ship. Through arts & crafts, yoga, self-defense, group discussion, guest speakers, dance, theater games, and more, each REALgirl will gain the tools and confidence she needs to live up to her full potential.
