The Salus Wisconsin Corporate Championship is designed to promote employee health and wellness by creating an event that provides competition and camaraderie along with wellness education and resources. Awards are presented to the company with the largest percent participation on race day, the fastest 4 finishers for each company in female, male, and mixed categories, the fastest overall male and female runner, the fastest overall male and female masters runner, and the fastest "C" level runner.
Your company needs to start their registration process by choosing a company coordinator. The company coordinator will be in charge of acting as a liaison between the race coordinator and the company employees. Your company logo will be included on pre-registered participant t-shirts and on a banner lining the finish line if it is provided by the April 30th deadline.
Each employee can register for the race after the company coordinator has set up the company within the registration system. Each employee that is participating in the run will need to choose what team category they would like to participate for: female, male, or mixed. Team category scores will be determined by adding the four fastest runners times in each category, each employee can only score once.
Employees that are not running or walking are welcome to attend to support their coworkers and are welcome to volunteer at the event. Everyone is welcome to attend the post-race wellness expo, which is open to all employees. Expo booths and sponsorship opportunities are available. Please contact Salus with any inquires.
All event proceeds benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).
Rules: Participants must be actively employed and working a minimum of 20 hours per week over the past 3 months to represent a company. Employee eligibility will be determined by the Race Coordinator exclusively, employment verification information must be provided upon request, and all decisions by the Race Coordinator are final. Participants certify that they are medically approved to complete the event and meet employment requirements. Each company must register a minimum of four (4) employees in one (1) team category to be scored (female, male, or mixed). There is no maximum number of registrants for a company, and companies are encouraged to have at least four (4) employees in each team category. Team category scores are determined by adding the four (4) fastest finishers in each category from a company. This total will be used to determine team category placing. Each registrant can only register for and score for one (1) team category (gender or mixed) and one (1) company. Team categories will be chosen by the registrant during registration. Companies can only register once for all of their employees, even if they are from separate divisions, locations, or other sub-groups of employment (i.e. a hospital system cannot register multiple departments or locations as companies, rather you must register the entire hospital system as one company). Employees from non-corporate settings (federal, state, municipal) are eligible to participate. Each chapter, school, division, unit, or branch should register as a company (this is an exception to the above rule and only applies to employees of non-business organizations). Clubs, political groups, unions, athletic teams, and other non-employment groups are not eligible to participate in this event. The Race Coordinator reserves the right to change, delay, postpone, or cancel the event for any reason at any time. The Race Coordinator will contact the Company Coordinators in the event of any changes. A full list of rules and event details will be available at: www.answertowellness.com.
Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, even in the case of an event cancellation.
