You like animals? You like art? Well we're combining the two in a fantastic new EcoAdventures class...WILD WILD WATERCOLORS! In this fun-filled 4 week course, kids will be guided under the direction of Benfield Elementary's very own art teacher extraordinaire, Tracy Edwards. This class will focus on how to capture animals on a watercolor project. There will definitely be plenty of live animal models on hand, from color changing chameleons to hairy tarantulas, armored scorpions, and sleek snakes! Ms. Edwards will guide our budding young artists through an incredible journey of multiple techniques and styles, teaching them how best to capture the beauty and grace of each and every one of our animal participants- all while learning about habitats, camouflage, and colors in the wild! About Tracy Edwards- Tracy Edwards is an art teacher for Anne Arundel County Public Schools and currently teachers at Benfield Elementary School. She has 13 years of teaching experience at both the middle school and elementary school level. Mrs. Edwards holds an Advanced Professional Teaching Certificate for the State of Maryland and is certified to teach grades K-12. Mrs. Edwards obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Art Education from the University of Maryland and also has a Master's Degree in Art Education from Towson University.
