Participants will swim 1.2 miles in the protected ocean waters of downtown Miami before entering T1, located at Bayfront Park. The one-loop, 56-mile bike course will take athletes through the scenic communities of Miami. Athletes will head west toward the Everglades in Broward and back to downtown Miami. The 13.1-mile run course will lead athletes alongside the waters of Miami and through one of the most popular and beautiful ports around the world—The Port of Miami.
Withdrawal requests must be received in writing via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Without exception, all requests must be received on or before August 15, 2013 to be eligible for a partial refund of $75.00 (USD). USA Triathlon will sanction Ironman 70.3 Miami. To complete the online registration process, athletes will need to enter their USAT annual license number or purchase a one-day license ($12.00 USD) during online registration. Athletes must bring their photo identification and show proof of current USAT membership during athlete check-in. Otherwise, it will be required to purchase a one day license on-site. USA Triathlon’s Age Group Competition rule
All qualifying events will implement both the International Triathlon Federation and USA Triathlon’s Age Group Competition rule: All age group athletes must compete in the age group division corresponding to the athlete’s age on December 31st of the year of the event.
