Have you been running recreationally and been wondering what to do next? Want to run a half marathon this fall? Join us for this group training program. We will run the Cleveland Half Marathon on May 19, 2013. We will provide you with a training program, access to a Road Runners Club of America Certified Running Coach, and once a week group runs (on Saturday morning). *You should be able to run 3 miles 3-4 times a week prior to starting this program. Program lasts 20 weeks.
We will run as a group each Saturday morning (or sometimes on Sunday if scheduling dictates a change) at 10am for the long run. Runs will be in either Hinckley, Medina, Strongsville or Peninsula. There will also be optional weekday runs from time to time to do some hill training. You will be provided with a full training plan, customized specifically for this clinic. We will also run a local race or 2 as part of our training, just for fun and experience. There is nothing better to motivate you to get out there, then to know that the group is waiting on you! And running with a group makes the long run so much easier. Running can be fun, I promise! :) Our first meeting will be on December 29th at 10am at the Chippewa Rail Trail.* Informational only, but you're welcome to head out for a quick group "get to know you" run on the path once we are done. You'll receive the training plan and get to know the coach, as well as ask any questions you may have! *Weather permitting. Should we need to move to a trail that plows snow, you'll receive an email explaining the change.
