This scenic out-and-back course in beautiful rural Blount County starts and ends at the church with a dinner of beans, cornbread, and sweet tea followed by an awards ceremony for all age groups and a short praise service. There will be inflatables on site for children. Time tracking is provided by the Knoxville Track Club. Each registration prior to August 31, 2014 is guaranteed an awesome Pokey's & Sports cotton t-shirt to commemorate the occasion. For your convenience, packet pick up will be on Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 11:00 am-2:00 pm at Seymour Volunteer Fire Department, Station 1, 101 Ford Hill Lane, Seymour, TN 37865. Those who bring a jar of peanut butter to donate to Second Harvest will be entered into a raffle and the winner will be announced race day. On-site race day registration will be available from 1:30- 2:30 pm ($35, checks payable to Cedar Grove Baptist Church or cash, exact change). There will be a limited supply of t-shirts for race day registrations and they will be given out on a first come/first served basis.Second Harvest Food Bank serves 18 counties throughout East Tennessee and is the largest supplier of food to food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, and schools.
