What's Included

Fall Semester ● LEGO NXT Mindstorms Basics. Designed for 4th & 5th graders with little or no Mindstorm Experience. This course enables students to build and program real-life robotic solutions and explore the world of engineering by building complex robotic systems. ● LEGO NXT Mindstorms Technology. Designed for 4th & 5th graders with at least a semester of NXT Mindstorm experience. Young engineers will explore deeper concepts of NXT Mindstorm construction and programming. Projects include: Robot Arm, Color Sorter, Grand Four Belt Rover, and more. ● EV3 Mindstorms. Available at only select locations. Designed for 4th & 5th graders with extensive experience in NXT Mindstorms. It enables students to build, program, and test their solutions based on real-life robotics technology. Students are encouraged to brainstorm in order to find creative solutions to problems and then develop them through a process of selecting, building, testing, and evaluating. Spring Semester ● LEGO NXT Mindstorms Basics. Designed for 4th & 5th graders with little or no Mindstorm Experience. This course enables students to build and program real-life robotic solutions. ● LEGO NXT Mindstorms Human Activity. Designed for 4th & 5th graders with at least a semester of NXT Mindstorms experience. Young engineers will explore deeper concepts of NXT Mindstorms construction and programming. Projects include: A Classic Clock, Humanoid and more. ● EV3 Mindstorms. Available at only select locations. Designed for 4th & 5th graders with extensive experience in NXT Mindstorms. It enables students to build, program, and test their solutions based on real-life robotics technology. Students are encouraged to brainstorm in order to find creative solutions to problems and then develop them through a process of selecting, building, testing, and evaluating. Due to the high costs of materials, students will not take projects home. However, all students will receive a smaller set at the end of the semester.
