Overview. This registration site will be the only way a March ARB runner can join the 2012 March ARB USAF Marathon team. You must first register for the USAF Marathon, Half Marathon, or 10K on www.usafmarathon.com, then register here for the March team. Please do not register for the 5K, as that takes place Friday afternoon, and we can';t guarantee you will arrive on time for this race. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis and will be capped at 100 runners. You will be asked to enter your SSN and Emergency Point of Contact information which is required for the Pax Manifest. There will also be a March Team T-Shirt again this year, which will be free. You will be prompted for T-Shirt size during registration.
Transportation. One C-17 will be provided for transportation from March ARB, CA, to Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. Expect to show at the March ARB Pax Terminal at 0630L, on Friday, 14 Sep 2012; depart March at 0900L, and arrive at WPAFB at 1600L. From there coach buses will transport you to the Nutter Center to pick up your race packets, and then to your hotel. A bus schedule will be provided for each races departure and return times Saturday morning. If you are not staying in the Hilton Garden Inn, you will need to make your own travel arrangements to and from the race, or meet us at the hotel.
Lodging. For 2012, we have blocked 80 rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn, 3520 Pentagon Park Blvd, Dayton, OH 45431 for the special team price of $110 for a single room. This hotel was across the street from our hotels last year. Call 937-458-2650 and ask for the "March ARB Marathon Team" rate. These rooms will only be blocked until 31 Jul 2011, so reserve early. If you want to share a room with another runner, you will need to coordinate that individually. If you are staying with family or friends, indicate that when you register for the team.
Dinner. Like last year we have coordinated for a carbo-load spaghetti dinner on Friday night for the March team only. This year it will be catered by the Hilton Garden Inn, so you won';t need to travel anywhere else! Cost will be $18.25 per person, which covers our Active.com credit card processing fees, and the $15 meal with gratuity included. The meal will be of the same high quality as last years, with several types of pastas, sauces, salads, and breads, plus a variety of nonalcoholic beverages. The meal must be prepaid upon registration on this website.
Orders. Like the last two years, runners will be on Permissive TDY orders and not receive per diem or be reimbursed for lodging. We will provide more information to your orders specialists a few months before the race.
