Description
All races are run on the grounds of Camp Roberts, just north of San Miguel, CA. Out and back course after two loops on paved road with dirt and packed gravel shoulders. Flat to gentle rolling hills with breathtaking views of oak-studded hillsides and abundant Central Coast wildlife complete the runner's experience. Start line is 700' and rises to 950' att turn around. Moderate climate in February, in the upper 50's to low 60's by day and upper 30's to low 40's by night. Average rainfall is less than 15" annually with a low relative humidity. All NEW courses eliminating the big hill and starting/finishing at the gymnasium on New Mexico across from the Camp Roberts Museum.
Event schedule and times
Walker start 6:30, runners start 8:30; 5K 8:45, children's mile 9:30. Registration packet pickup at school Friday 3-6pm and 6:30 to race start at Camp Roberts on Saturday morning. Course tour available at 3:30, 4:00, and 4:30 departing from school and stopping for car registration at security office on way in to base.
