With 2013 right around the corner (yes, it is!), NOW is the time to make a plan to reach your personal health and fitness goals! Let JackRabbit help you with our Level II running program. This program begins where Running Level I leaves off (although you needn't have participated in Level I to join!).
We recommend that you already be able to run 2.5 miles continuously, regardless of pace. Increased attention will be given to improved endurance and understanding the importance of pacing. Our group workouts provide you with a safe, positive and supportive environment in which to take your fitness to the next level as we work toward our goal of running 6 mile continuously by program completion. We will provide online guidance and direction in the form of structured workouts/'homework' for you to do in between our regular group meetings. Towards the end of class we will select a local road race in which to participate. There is no obligation to participate in the goal race but we like to use it as extra motivation througout the program and we will of course be with you on race day for support and encouragement.
Day/Date/Time: Every Tuesday at 6:45pm and Saturday mornings at 8:30am from January 8th thru March 16th. Each class is 60 minutes.
Where: We will meet at the Upper East Side store at Lexington between 84th & 85th Streets for our Tuesday workouts. For those of you coming from work we will have Bag Watch at our store at Lexington & 84th St. Our Saturday class will be at the 5th Avenue entrance to the park and so we ask you to come to those workouts ready to run.
