With 2013 right around the corner (yes, it is!), NOW is the time to make a plan to reach your personla health and fitness goals! Let JackRabbit help you with our Beginning Running program. This program is designed for people who have never run before or who have not run for a very long time, and want a structured introduction to help get in shape without getting injured along the way. We start with very gentle workouts combining walking and running, and give your body plenty of time to adapt to running over the 10 weeks of the program as we build to the goal of continuously running a 5K/3.1 mile distance. There's no stopwatches or pressure of any kind, just positive support. In addition to our twice weekly meetings you will receive online support, guidance and specific workouts to do in-between our regular group workouts. All of our workouts will take place in Central Park.
Where: The class will meet every Tuesday at 6:45pm and Saturday morning at 8:30am at Upper East Side store located at Lexington between 84th & 85th Streets. For our Tuesday class we will have Bag Watch available at our store on Lexington & 84th St to change clothes or drop your bags during class. Our Satruday class will meet at the 5th Ave entrance to the park and we ask you to come ready to run on the weekend.
